Day trading is the act of trading stocks in the stock market based on intraday charts. A day trader deals with short term trades, while still taking the long term into account. A day trader can complete a trade within a couple of minutes or a few hours, but it will always be concluded within the day, hence the term ‘Day Trading’.

Day Trading is the act of buying and selling stocks within the same day. While long term traders will use charts of daily, weekly, and even monthly intervals, a Day Trader will use charts of 30 minute, 15 minute, 3 minute, and even 1 minute intervals. This allows the Day Trader to examine stocks on a short term basis.
